Principal of the college Prof Sudha Katyal urged everyone to help fight anaemia
Chandigarh: In context of Covid-19 pandemic, the celebration was held through an online awareness generation programme based on the theme “ANEMIA”.
The outreach program received a great response by the target audience (adolescent girls and young women), around 50 audience joined the online session from various rural areas of haryana- kharkhari nahar, farukhnagar and district karnal , girls from Delhi Public School malerkotla, Gurgaon and Lord Jesus public school (Gurgaon).
The session gave an insight on the topic Anaemia and symptoms. Various schemes – e-raktakosh, scheme for adolescent girls and IFA and Supplementation – National nutrition anaemia and prophylaxis programme were also discussed. Home- cooked iron rich recipes were also presented in the session.
All the information was demonstrated with help of an e-poster, summarised with videos to make the participants more clear about the insight of topic.
