Awareness Program on Labour Laws, ESI and PF Schemes

Ludhiana, July 19, 2018: An Awareness Program on Labour Laws, ESI and PF Schemes was organized by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings at Gill Road Office Ludhiana.

Sh.Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU said that there is an urgent need of awareness among the MSMEs about the latest Labour Laws, ESI and PF Schemes so that the problems / difficulties faced by them relating to Labour Laws should be facilitated and benefits from ESI and PF Schemes for the workers and their family of their units should reach them timely and effectively. CICU has made special efforts to provide Free of Cost the services by the Labour Laws, ESI and PF Experts to help MSMEs for making compliance and availing benefits from these schemes without any difficulties as individually these units are unable to engage the Experts due to their high services charges and higher cost to them.

Sh.Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU said that the Chamber has made available the services of other experts like disputes relating to PSPCL and matters relating to GST, Eway Bills, IT and other Financial issues etc. at Gill road Office for the benefits of Industry. He further said that CICU want to upgrade the MSMEs for Global Competition by providing the best possible support to improve their productivity, quality and reduce cost etc.

More than 30 participants from MSMEs attended this program conducted by Sh. Mahesh Arora leading Advocate on Labour Laws, ESI and PF. He explained in details the ease of making compliance of the Labour Laws. He also discussed in details, how MSMEs can take benefits of various Govt. Schemes relating to ESI and PF. He further told that how these schemes are beneficial for the management and workers of MSMEs.

Sh.Harish Baweja CA of M/s Gagandeep & Jugesh Co. shared his expertise for the benefit of MSMEs relating to Income Tax, GST, Eway Bills and other financial issues in which MSMEs are facing difficulties for compliance of Govt. rules and regulations. He also offered his services to MSMEs by camping weekly at CICU Gill Road Office on every Saturday.

Leading industrialists like S/Sh. Gurcharan Singh Gemco, Satinderjit Singh, Kulwant Singh Sall and Harminder Singh HMK also shared the various difficulties faced by MSMEs. They appreciated the initiative taken by Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU to provide services of different experts to the MSMEs special located in the area.

Sh.Didarjit Singh in his concluding remarks said that the knowledge shared in this program will definitely benefit the MSMEs, if implemented efficiently and effectively. He was hopeful that more and more MSMEs in this area will attend such program in future for their benefits.
