Divulging in this regard, Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that "Awareness Week" will be celebrated by the state government till September 29 to create awareness among students of Scheduled Castes. Inaugurating the special "Awareness Week" here today for the awareness of Post Matric Scholarship Scheme, she said that this awareness campaign will continue till September 29.
She issued a pamphlet in this regard and said that the department has a target of 2.60 lakh students during the year 2023-24, for which Mission 2.6 is being run.
The Minister further said that the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC the mission has set a target of applying for scholarships for 2.6 lakh students, under the year 2023-24, while in the year 2022-23, 2.26 lakh students applied for scholarships.
