Axis Bank organises screening of frontline workers in Baramati and Pune
Axis Bank has been extending all possible help to the citizens of India across various states
Pune: In these difficult times, when the nation is combating the pandemic, Axis Bank, India’s third largest private sector bank has extended its support to the frontline warriors who are risking their lives to serve the general public. As a part of the initiative, Axis Bank has engaged a team of experts who will screen all police officers and government medical staff above the age of 50, in Baramati and Pune. The initiative was flagged off in Baramati.
Ravi Narayanan, President and Head – Branch Banking, Axis Bank said, ‘Axis Bank has been extending all possible help to the citizens of India across various states. Now, we are also trying to reach out to the frontline warriors, who are at constant risk and battling the pandemic from very close quarters. Through this initiative, we have done 600 screenings in Baramati & Pune so far and several more are underway. We will continue to keep engaging with and supporting our communities till we get past this challenging phase.’
The expert team will do the Pre- screening for Covid 19 test by using artificial intelligence X-ray CBC and other necessary equipment. This initiative will cover Taluka police and other frontline workers in the health sector, who are working for and associated with the Baramati medical hospital.
The bank deployed a specialised van in Baramati, while in Pune they have identified a place to ensure testing is done in the most convenient way, reaching out to maximum number of officers and health staff. The customized van will be fitted with all necessary equipment required for the Covid 19 test.
