Landscaping, colourful lights installed around martyrs’ statues on bridge
Ludhiana, August 14, 2022: Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik on Sunday dedicated 100-ft high-mast national flag on Jagraon bridge to the people of Ludhiana.
Accompanied by Commissioner of Police Dr Kaustubh Sharma, Additional MC Commissioner Aditya Dachalwal, the Deputy Commissioner hoisted the tricolor by using a remote control on the bridge. She said that under project, Land scaping, LED lights, beautified boundary wall, steel grilling, granite stone and decorative projector colourful lighting were also installed to illuminate national flag and statues of martyrs Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at the cost of Rs 80 lakh on Jagraon bridge, here.
Malik hoped that this national flag and whole project will inspire us all to take Ludhiana in particular and Punjab in general to the path of development.
MC Additional Commissioner Aditya Dachalwal said the the flag itself was 30x20 feet in dimensions. He said that project was part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to mark 75 years of independence and would help to invoke the feeling of patriotism among the citizen.
