Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Western Command Platinum Jubilee Cycle Expedition
Western Command Platinum Jubilee Cycle Expedition commemorating 75 years of raising of Western Command and “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” started from Headquarters Western Command Chandimandir.
Jalandhar, August 27, 2022: Western Command Platinum Jubilee Cycle Expedition commemorating 75 years of raising of Western Command and “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” started from Headquarters Western Command Chandimandir. The Rally was flagged in at Jalandhar, Punjab today by Brigadier Vikrant M Dhumne, Commander 11 Corps Artillery Brigade.
The expedition will interact with the veterans and aim to rekindle the spirit of patriotism in the people and showcase the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army. Efforts put in by expedition team are likely to motivate the youth to join the elite Indian Army by making them understand career prospects in Indian Army. The rally would be covering a distance of 1861Km, transiting through Jalandhar, Pathankot, Ambala and back to Headquarters Western Command. A total of 27 cyclist from Western Command are participating in the rally which will finish at Chandimandir on 14 September 2022.
The broader aim of the expedition is to bolster the energy of the young indians towards nationalism. They will act as a beacon to channelize the immeasurable enthusiasm and zeal of the citizens of the country.
