Chandigarh: Food lovers in the Tricity can now lure their taste buds with scrumptious delicacies at Baba’s with the real taste of Punjab in them. Located right at the heart of the city in Sector 7 (SCO-33), Chandigarh.  Baba’s is a venture of Baba Chicken Ishmeet Chowk Ludhiana. The brand is special for serving quality comfort food inspired by the flavours of Punjab with unique recipes. The outlet is now open and serving exquisite mouth-watering Punjabi delicacies to its customers in the city. It is the first ever branch in the tricity.

Speaking about the launch, Mr Avneet Singh, Owner, Baba’s said, “Baba’s is the perfect blend of an aesthetic ambience and sumptuous food. As our tagline suggests ‘great taste lives on forever’, we hope that the food reminds you of the authentic flavours of Punjab especially our world-famous Baba’s Butter Chicken. We are beyond thrilled to bring all the regal dishes to the residents of the Tricity and aim at being everyone’s favourite hangout place.”

He further added, “Currently, Baba’s has a total of 20 branches spread across North region including Gurugram, Ludhiana, Ambala, Khanna, Rohtak, Yamuna Nagar, Faridabad, Patiala, Ropar, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Phagwara and Hoshiarpur and now first time opening in Tricity’s Chandigarh. With time, we plan on expanding our footprints in other parts of the country as well.”

The restaurant has been launched in collaboration with Mr. Manish Goyal who already runs Swagath, Sagar Ratna, Social and founder of Satva having an experience in Chandigarh hospitality for more than 2 decades. With the quest for creating a memorable dining experience and serving authentic Punjabi food that Punjabi`s resonate with a well stock bar in the most comfortable environment, Baba’s is smartly designed by keeping in mind the symphony between intuitive service, exuberance and a feeling of familiarity.

Baba’s formerly known as Baba Chicken started as a small eatery in 1962 by S. Himmat Singh who was lovingly called Baba Ji. His recipes had the real taste of Punjab in them. Later it was inherited by Mr Kanwaljit Singh who along with his wife introduced some unique recipes such as Fish fry, Fish Tandoori, Spinach corn roll and Baba Butter Chicken which is now enjoyed by all. Huge demands and love from the customers led to the first Baba’s restaurant in Model Town, Ludhiana in 1991 later two more joints were opened in 2000 and 2004. The legacy is now continued by Mr Avneet Singh, son of Mr Kanwaljit Singh.
