Badal calls upon children to make India clean and green

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal along with 12 students of six different schools of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, who won the painting competition 'Rang Swach Bharat Ke' organised by MY FM Radio at CMO during a felicitation ceremony on Monday.

Chandigarh, November 17, 2014: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today called upon the youngsters to play a proactive role to make our country clean and green.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's office said that Badal was presiding over an impressive but small ceremony organised at Chief Minister's office today to felicitate  the 12 students of six different schools of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, who had won the painting competition  'Rang Swach Bharat Ke' organised by MY FM Radio.
While congratulating the winners and the teachers accompanying them, Badal asked them to motivate others also so that everyone could develop a habit to keep their surroundings clean and hygienic. He further advised the children to obey and help their parents for keeping their homes and streets neat and clean, which would ultimately result to achieve 'Clean India' target soon.
The Chief Minister also presented a trophy and a certificate to each winner. It may be recalled here that FM radio would publish a twelve-leaf New Year calendar, depicting the paintings of these little masters from class three to seven. The Chief Minister had also shown keen interest in the paintings of the students. He was accompanied by his Special Principal Secretary Gaggandip Singh Brar.
