Baisakhi Celebrations at CRB Public School
The students and staff of CRB Public School, Sector 7B, Chandigarh, celebrated Baisakhi with great zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly was held to mark the occasion for Classes I to VIII. The celebrations began with the recital of shabad followed by a group song and a speech explaining the significance of the day.
Chandigarh, April 12, 2024: The students and staff of CRB Public School, Sector 7B, Chandigarh, celebrated Baisakhi with great zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly was held to mark the occasion for Classes I to VIII. The celebrations began with the recital of shabad followed by a group song and a speech explaining the significance of the day.
After the assembly, the whole school came alive with brilliant Bhangra & Giddha performances by the students, which were the highlights of the program.
The pre primary wing celebrated the occasion with a burst of colours as the tiny tots came dressed in traditional punjabi attire and participated in fun craft activities and a dance party.
Speaking on the occasion, Sangeeta Mittal, Principal of the school, said Baisakhi was not only a harvest festival but also an auspicious day. It commemorates the joy of new beginnings and teaches us to learn from our past.
The students showed great enthusiasm and excitement by participating in the school wide celebrations. Chocolates and sweets were also distributed to the students.
The Principal and Naveen Mittal, the Director, appreciated the students’ initiative and encouraged them to come up with more creative ideas for future celebrations.
