Dharamsala, March 8, 2013: “The exclusive ladies buses shall start playing in the periphery on 30 kms in Dharamsala and Shimla from Saturday,” said GS Bali, Transport Minister, Himachal Pradesh at Nagrota near Dharamsala on Friday. He said these conductor-less buses, shall have only one male driver and these buses are meant for the safety of the working ladies and girl students.
Speaking at the district-level women’s day function he said, “An ultra modern Mahila Bhawan shall be constructed in Nagrota at the cost of Rs 50 lakh and this shall entirely be controlled by women.”
He also sanctioned a machine in Tanda Medical College’s for checking the AIDS and HIV positive cases.
He said, “Two toppers girls in +2 exam in the districts shall be given a stipend of Rs 3,000 as a help for higher education.”
