Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce launches The Gateway to Future India booklet
The booklet incorporates activities & achievements of BCIC while championing progress in Karnataka and boosting the state's economy.
Bengaluru, February 28, 2022: The Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) in association with The Times Group has launched a booklet - Namma Karnataka - The Gateway to Future India. The booklet was launched by Dr. Murugesh R. Nirani, Minister of Large & Medium Industries of Karnataka along with the BCIC Office-bearers, Mr. K. R Sekar and T. R. Parasuraman, and Mr. Kamal Bali on 25th February at the Karnataka Investment Forum, Bangalore. The launch was followed by a webinar on the official website of The Economic Times. The booklet contains activities and achievements by BCIC that have been championing progress in the state of Karnataka and boosting the state's economy.
The Gateway to Future India analyzes the importance of creating a better society for a better future, the booklet has a total of 12 chapters that deeply explains the roadmap of building Karnataka as the global destination for business and Information technology. The chapter ‘Karnataka will be the best globally’ is penned by Dr. Murugesh R. Nirani. It also highlights the role of the chamber in being the voice for the business.
Encouraging this initiative, Minister, Dr. Murugesh Nirani said, ‘It is indeed a moment of pride to be present at the event, we have seen the hard work done by the Chamber in improving the business infrastructure of the state and contributing to the state’s economy. The booklet is everything a business leader needs to understand in order to flourish business in the state. We are in talks with other countries that Karnataka is the right place for business investment.’
Speaking about the launch, Mr. K. R. Sekar, President, BCIC, says, ‘We are honored to launch this booklet in the gracious presence of Dr. Nirani, as he is one of the core pillars of our state's business affair. The booklet is a roadmap of achieving what we have so far dreamt for our nation. It showcases the efforts invested by the members of the chamber to shape the dream. We are a nation with the youngest populations globally and we aspire to see these youth building our nation to newer heights through the right guidance and support. The chamber is thankful to the Times of India team for their valuable contribution. We are delighted to be the partners in progress.’
Speaking about the launch T R Parasuraman, President & Director, Toyota Industries Engine India said, “This is a great milestone in the achievement of BCIC and also an insignificant initiative to promote Namma Karnataka – The Gateway to the Future India. We all are aware of the beneficial factors of Bangalore as a great destination for investors because of the skill development along with the ecosystem present in the state. In fact, in last year itself, 50-60% of investments in the country were in Karnataka. And lastly, I would like to congratulate the Government of Karnataka to increase the ease of doing business by taking up several measure in the recent past years.”
Speaking about the launch Kamal Bali, President & MD, Volvo Group said, “It is great pleasure to be a part of this initiative and it showcases the spirit of emotion of Karnataka and it’s a commendable step towards informing about the ease of business to the people outside the state”.
