Bank of India celebrated 75th Republic Day with traditional fervor, pomp and gaiety in the forecourt of Bank of India, Head Office on January 26.
Mumbai, January 27, 2024: Bank of India celebrated 75th Republic Day with traditional fervor, pomp and gaiety in the forecourt of Bank of India, Head Office on January 26. The celebration started with hoisting of National Flag by Rajneesh Karnatak, MD & CEO of the Bank in the august presence of Executive Directors P. R. Rajagopal, Swarup Dasgupta and Subrat Kumar. Apart from this Chief General Managers, General Managers, staff from Head Office along with their family members were also present on the occasion. The jubilant celebration echoed the chosen theme "India – Mother of Democracy" and "Viksit Bharat" (developed India), of the Government of India for this year Republic Day.
Addressing the gathered staff members, Rajneesh Karnatak shared insights into the significance of Republic Day, tracing its historical roots to the adoption of the Constitution in 1950. He emphasized the pivotal role played by democratic principles in shaping the nation's identity. He urged all staff members to reflect on their roles as fellow citizens and a dedicated Bank of India Staff, emphasizing the collective responsibility to contribute towards the development of the nation and also towards their mother institution. His inspiring words resonated with the Bank of India family, fostering a sense of purpose and dedication.
After the formal events, children of staff members showcased their talents with captivating performances on patriotic theme during the cultural program organized as part of the Republic Day celebrations.
