Bank of India organizes Customer Outreach Programme at Bhubaneswar

Bank of India, a leading Public Sector Bank of the nation, organized a Customers’ Outreach Program on April 29, 2022 at IDCOL Auditorium Hall, Bhubaneswar.  The auspicious event was graced by Shri A K Das, MD & CEO of Bank of India.
 
Shri Das, in his deliberations, conveyed gratitude to the customers for their strong bonding with Bank of India.  He expressed that Bank of India is fully committed to the process of ongoing economic recovery that is broad based and durable.
          
The Programme was attended by more than 100 customers. Bank distributed 30 Sanction letters to the tune of Rs.100 crores to the beneficiaries of Bhubaneswar Zone in various segments during the Customers’ Outreach Programme imprinting its major role towards Atmanirbhar Bharat. In total, an amount of more than Rs.300 cr. was disbursed by National Banking Group (East) through its 10 Zones.  It was mainly covering Retail, Agriculture and MSME segments including Government’s Flagship Programme such as Stand Up India, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Loans to Self Help Groups and PM SVANidhi.
 
More than 50 POS Machines and BHIM UPI QR were issued to customers to promote Digital Banking. 30 BCs were on boarded during this occasion.
 
As a responsible corporate citizen, BOI has been front runner in implementing various social security schemes. During this outreach programme, NBG as whole enrolled 5000 beneficiaries under APY, 5000 under PMSBY and 3000 under PMJJBY.

MD & CEO sir felicitated Odisha’s eminent personality, Shri Sudarsan Sahoo,Padma Vibhushan Awardee for his exemplary contribution in the field of   specifically stone art and sculpture , Smt Pratibha Ray ,Padma Bhushan awardee for her outstanding ongoing contribution to Indian literature and Shri Gyan Ranjan Das, who has received accolades like National Start Up award 2021,and national  Entrepreneurship Awardee 2019 in the field of ores & mineral resource to improve metal yield .
 
Bank of India also given financial assistance to Odisha Association for the Blinds, Bhubaneswar under its corporate social responsibility.
