Bank visit organized for students of BBA Sem-1 in Axis Bank at Apeejay College of Fine Arts

Jalandhar, October 12, 2019: A bank visit was organized for the students of BBA Sem-1 in Axis Bank at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar.
It was a great learning experience and practical exposure for all the students as firstly; they were briefed about the banking operations and were taught the procedure for opening a bank account by Ms. Jaspreet Virdi, Assistant Manager. This was followed by a interactive session held by Mr. Shalender Kumar, Cluster Head who explained the students about the need to be trained in marketing skills as it is the core of every organization in this highly competitive world. It was followed by informative session by Mr. Chetan Bhanot, Senior Manager who further explained the students about the concepts of financial planning, digital economy and the impact of demonetization and GST.
Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma opined that in this contemporary era, it is important for the students not only to stick to theoretical knowledge through books but also be alert about the real market world. She appreciated the faculty members of Commerce Department for engaging students in fruitful activities.
