Bills pending for months of July-September: Mohinder Aggarwal
Ludhiana, October 24, 2017: Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal (PPBM) secretary Mohinder Aggarwal has regretted that the banks were not issuing GST Advice Bills to the local traders. As a result, the traders were facing difficulties in claiming their respective ITC Claims. In a statement here today, he added that these Bills were pending for the months of July, August and September, 2017.
Further, he told that the banks used to charge service tax at 18 percent on the services rendered to its customers. He said as per the new taxation system, the banks were supposed to submit bills of all these charges to customers so that traders might be in a position to claim ITC from the government.
Adding, he told that when he took up this issue with many local concerned officers then nobody was in a position to clear the situation, resulting to which the traders were seen in total dark. He said there was a dire need that the concerned departmental officers should make the things clear so that traders might not face in getting their ITC claims.
Aggarwal said a trader was supposed to pay a five of Rs.10,000 if he failed to issue a bill against the goods sold but there was no penalty on the banks for its failures.
