BCM Arya Model School bagged overall trophy of Turf- 2019 at PCTE

Ludhiana, October 11, 2019 : PCTE Fest-A-week - 2019 takes off with Turf - an Inter School competition where around 65 schools participated in the events like Group Dance, Mr & Ms Turf, Oven Love, Debate, Painting, Picto etc.

The event saw huge participation from different schools including BCM Arya Model School, Sacred Heart Convent School, Sat Paul Mittal School, Guru Nanak Public School, DCM Presidency School, KVM School, BVM- Kitlu Nagar, BCM- Basant City, Spring Dale Public School, Peace Public School, Bal Bharti Schooletc.

The overall trophy of Turf 2019 was bagged by BCM Arya Model School. In group dance BCM Arya Model School won First Position and won cash prize of worth Rs. 30, 000, BVM- Kitlu Nagar won the Second Position and won cash prize worth Rs. 15, 000. Third Position was bagged by Spring Dale Public School and won cash prizes worth Rs 5,000. In Mr. & Ms. Turf , Mr. Turf title was won Peace Public School & Ms. Turf title was won by KVM School and won cash prizes worth Rs. 10,000 each.

In Debate the First Position was bagged by Peace Public School, Second Position was bagged by BCM Arya Model School and Third Position was bagged by DCM Presidency School. In Group Discussion, the First Position & Second Position was bagged by Peace Public School and Third Position was bagged by Sat Paul Mittal School.

In Quiz the First Position & Second Position was bagged by BCM Arya Model School and Third Position was bagged by DAV Public School- Pakhowal Rd. In Just A Minute KVM School bagged the First Position & the Second and Third Position was bagged by BCM Arya Model School and DCM Presidency. In Oven Love the First Position was bagged by BCM Arya Model School, the Second Positon was bagged by Guru Nanak Public School and the Third Position was bagged by Sacred Heart Sen. Sec. School.

In the fest the teachers from various schools and colleges received the awards on the 12th ceremony of PCTE Lifetime Best Teachers Award which was conducted to honor the contribution made by the teachers in the society, where Best Principal award was given to Dr. Paramjit Kaur from BCM Shastri Nagar.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General PCTE appreciated and congratulated the efforts of the students and the faculty for organizing all the events smoothly. He further added that Festaweek gave great learning to the students. It helps the students to get hand full of experience and loads of confidence on being on stage and mentioned that the vision behind fest was to make young boys and girls wear confidence as their armor. Through these events students learn the art of being self reliant and develop a kind of competitive spirit of winning which in turn help them in facing the biggest challenges in their professional and personal life.
