Bhaichung Bhutia willing to work with Himachal Football Association

Dharamshala, August 11, 2017: The Ex-International ace footballer of India Padam Shree Bhaichung Bhutia said, “I am ready to give my services to Himachal Pradesh Football Association (HPFA) for its development work for the game. I shall be delighted if I be useful for this state.”
Bhaichung was speaking as the chief guest in the maiden awards ceremony of HPFA in Dharamshala on Friday. He said to strengthen the football in the state all the district bodies of the game must work as a single unit.
He added that during his youth, football was played for job only, but now the things have changed as the footballers are now adopting it for name and fame too. “The facilities available for football in India, are in abundance now”, said Bhaichung.
Urban Development Minister of Himachal Sudhir Sharma, who was also present in the function said, “The state government is keen to develop the football in Himachal. A football academy will soon be opened in Dharamshala.” He said Dharamshala is crazy about football and produced so many players even without much needed facilities.
150 football players and officials were honoured at the function. The Best player, Goal Keeper, Mid Fielder, Referee and Grassroots leaders were awarded. HPFA gave life time achievement awards to Prem Sharma, Suresh Mann, Satish Kumar and Virender Parmar.
Girls of Una Football Academy were also honoured for their achievement to reach the semi-final stage of Prime Minister Urja Cup 2017.
Media Co-ordinator of HPFA Satyadev Sharma informed that Bhaichung will guide the footballers of Dharamshala on Saturday.
