100 PPE KITS WERE HANDED
Chandigarh: Bhavan’s Old Student Society (BOSS), the alumni arm of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, extended invaluable support to the Chandigarh police force today by donating PPE kits, a necessity for those fighting the COVID battle from the forefront. 100 PPE kits that included body suits, face shields, N95 masks and gloves were handed over to the Superintendent of Police Headquarters, Mr. Manoj Meena today.
Mr. CA Vinay Aggarwal, President, Bhavan’s Old Student Society and Mr. Karan Mahajan, Senior Executive Member visited the Chandigarh Police Headquarters and handed over the kits to Superintendent of Police Headquarters, Mr. Manoj Meena. Mr.Meena expressed his sincere gratitude to the BOSS team and to the Bhavan Vidyalaya fraternity for their timely support.
There has been a rising demand for PPE kits in the country at large and in the Tricity, as the number of corona positive cases have shown a steady increase.
This contribution by BOSS was made possible through member contributions to BOSS’s official web portal bhavansalumni.com. Soon after the COVID 19 outbreak, the old students’ association initiated a fund raising exercise which garnered prompt response from its members. The teachers too came forward and supported this noble initiative.
Mr Vinay Aggarwal, President BOSS and other members of the Executive Board expressed their sincere thanks to the administrators of the Tricity and the entire fleet of the Chandigarh Police Force, whose attentive watch made the lockdown a smooth period for all.
It is notable that BOSS had donated 5000 mineral water bottles to the police personnel earlier in April as part of their community initiative amidst COVID 19.
Senior Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, Mrs. Vineeta Arora, lauded the efforts of BOSS and appreciated their timely service.
