Bid farewell to outgoing students of class XII

Jalandhar, April 11, 2024: The students, staff and management of DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur bid farewell to the outgoing students of class XII. Filled with curiosity and zeal, the farewell ceremony was organized by the students and teachers of present class XII on 10th April, 2024 in the school campus as the school has the tradition to organize the farewell ceremony after Board Exams so that students can focus better in the examination and can have extreme fun and pleasure without any stress and worry. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers, to reminisce joyous moments.

The function commenced with the formal welcome of esteemed guests Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir and worthy Judges Oorja Sharma and Itee. They were felicitated with saplings as they graced the day with their benign presence. The hall was festooned with decorations. Being a colorful affair, the farewell bash rocked the day for all the party attendees. The eye-catching moments were the dance and singing performances of the students and a heart felt poem by Ushmita and speech filled with gratitude and memories by the head boy Prabhnoor Basra and the head girl Komal Sipla. And also, for the fun and frolic, games were organised to add the spice to the function. The highlight of the event was Miss and Mr DAV contest in which the outgoing students walked the ramp gracefully and shortlisted students geared themselves up for the Questions Answers round and gave wonderful responses showing the amalgamation of beauty and brains. Ruhani was adjudged as Ms DAV, Komal Sipla as the first runner up, Ushmita as the second runner up. Amongst the boys Prabhnoor Basra won Mr DAV Tushar Sharma was adjudged as first runner up and Tushar Parashar as second runner up. To infuse excitement into the festivities, students were awarded various catchy titles to amplify their sense of significance and delight.

The departing students of class XII, recognizing the invaluable support and guidance they received throughout their academic journey, decided to express their heartfelt appreciation to the school by presenting digital printer as a token of gratitude. The Farewell party was the roller-coaster ride of emotions. To etch the memories of these beautiful days, the event concluded with heavy weight Bhangra. The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the alma mater. 

Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir passed on the light of wisdom to all the students of outgoing class XII. He told them not to forget sweet bitter stories of school life . The students were wished good luck for future years. Also, the students were asked to remain connected with the school forever and assured that the school will always be there for every kind of support and assistance. Thereafter, there was a spate of dance, music and laughter of their vast repository of skills. All students and staff relished the farewell buffet as the day came to an emotional close.
