Big Tragedy Averted; Four Stray Animals Killed In Train Mishap

Khanna, September 6, 2015: A big tragedy was averted although four stray animals were killed in a train mishap when they were mowed down under Garib Rath passenger train going to Sehrasa (Bihar) from Amritsar. This accident happened in the morning hours at about 7.15 am and the train had to halt for about 20 minutes on the track. 
As per information a group of stray bulls and cows was roaming on one track of the train near Railway Station Khanna near Lalheri Over Bridge. In the mean time Garib Rath train arrived and four stray animals including 3 stray bulls and a cow were killed when they were mowed down under the train. Due to this accident the train had to halt for 20 minutes and the railway police was informed. 
After information SHO Railway Police Khanna Vinod Kumar, SHO City Anil Kohli and other concerned officials reached on the site and got cleared the railway track. After the clearing of railway track the concerned train left for next journey. 
Meanwhile, Tejinder Singh, President of a social organization had termed the administration responsible for this accident and said that they had repeatedly requested concerned officials to control stray animals but the local administration is paying a deaf ear towards this problem.
