Birth anniversary of Beant Singh to be observed as Sadbhawna Divas on February 19

Chandigarh/ Ludhiana, February 18, 2017: The family of slain Beant Singh, former Chief Minister of Punjab has decided to observe the birth anniversary of Beant Singh as Sadbhavna Divas on February 19.
Member of Parliament from Ludhiana and grandson of Beant Singh, Ravneet Singh Bittu said like every year tributes will be paid to Beant Singh at his memorial at section 42 Chandigarh. The prayers will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM and tributes will be paid to Beant Singh.
While appealing the Youth to reach at the memorial on February 19, MP Ravneet Singh Bittu said during the time of terrorism in Punjab it was only Beant Singh who fought against terrorism and brings peace and harmony in the state. For this he has to give up his life in a terror attack.
Ravneet Singh Bittu said that some anti Punjab forces were trying to disturb the peace and harmony of state but their family will not allow such forces to disturb the peace. He further said the people of Punjab will not forget the sacrifice of Beant Singh and to remember the great leader his birth anniversary would be celebrated as Sadbhavna Diwas.
While giving the call of unity among youth Bittu said at present the terror of drugs has hit the state and the youth should fight against “drug terrorism” for the better future of Punjab.
