Rewari, April 21, 2024: Haryana Pradesh Congress President Udaibhan and MP Deepender Hooda on Sunday participated in the birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar organized in Kosli area.
Addressing the public meeting, State Congress President Udaibhan said Baba Saheb brought social revolution in the country by becoming the voice of the exploited and oppressed classes. “Whenever any poor person was oppressed, Baba Saheb came forward and supported the poor and challenged the divisive forces,” he said.
MP Deepender Hooda said the Constituent Assembly led by Baba Saheb worked to lay the foundation of the country through the Constitution. “The country moved forward on basic mantra of freedom, equality and brotherhood. But today BJP leaders are raising slogans of 400 plus, and saying that they will change the Constitution when the government comes to power,” he said and warned BJP leaders wanting to change the constitution, and said that no matter how much force BJP tries, they will not let Baba Saheb's Constitution move even an inch.
Deepender said the BJP government has put Haryana at the crossroads of unemployment, and added that the BJP government has tarnished the image of Haryana with inflation, unemployment, crime and corruption.
He told that during the Congress government, the government tried to make Rewari a hub of education and got 19 institutions opened here. “This included Indira Gandhi University in Mirpur, regional center of Bhagat Phool Singh Women's University was built in Krishna Nagar (Lula Ahir). This time, if I get a chance, I will work on building a university for women in Krishna Nagar,” he said.
He said apart from this, industrial areas will be brought in Kosli area so that the youth can get employment, on the lines of IMT Manesar. He further said this government insulted every section of the society including the youth for raising the demand of rural watchmen, MNREGA labourers, farmers, youth, sports daughters, Ahir Regiment.
“Under BJP rule, efforts are being made to snatch away the constitutional rights of the people through the backdoor. Seeing the huge resentment among the people towards this government, BJP changed the Chief Minister and Ministers in Haryana. Now the discussion is going on to change the candidates but now people will give the decision with the influence of their votes and will change the BJP government,” he stated.
Deepender said the 10-year-old BJP government made Haryana 17th in development and number 1 in unemployment. “There is a unemployed youth in every household. Lakhs of government jobs were abolished in the country and state. In Haryana, jobs without merit, without reservation and without pension are being created through Skill Corporation,” he added.
Deepender said most of the jobs in Haryana were given to people from other states. “In the list of SDO, 77 out of 99 were from outside. Then out of 70, 68 were placed outside. Out of 156 posts of Assistant Professor Technical, there are 103 vacancies and the chairman who employs outsiders in Haryana's jobs is also from another state,” he pointed out.
Describing his work done in the area, Deepender said whether he was in the government or in the Opposition, he and his family have always received the blessings of this entire area. He reminded that during the Congress government, the government established Agriculture College in Bawal, Rao Birendra Singh Government Engineering College in Zainabad, 5 new government ITIs in Saranwas, Bersi Kalan, Kosli, Tankari, Kharkar, 2 new government polytechnics, 5 new government colleges and a central university.
Haryana's first Sainik School was established at Gothra Tappakhori and Kendriya Vidyalaya at Bhakli and 95 schools were upgraded in Kosli constituency alone. The announcement of a college in the last 9 and a half years of the present BJP government has also not been made till date. “What's more, a sub-tehsil was approved in Dahina, but in the last 9 and a half years this government did not give a single penny in its budget. Not only this, this government also did not fulfil what it said,” he stated,
Reiterating his resolve, Deepender said that when Congress government is formed, we would give old age pension of Rs 6000 from the first pen. “300 units of free electricity will be given to every family, LPG cylinder for Rs 500 to women, Old Pension Scheme to employees, MSP guarantee to farmers, free plots of 100-100 yards to poor families of SC, BCA category and cost of Rs 3.5 lakh.
