BJP’s 3229 elected representatives to cover over 7 lakh kms during ‘Gandhi Sankalp Yatra’: Tarun Chugh
Chandigarh, October 3, 2019: The Bharatiya Janata Party launched ‘Gandhi Sankalp Yatra’ on 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi under which 3229 elected representatives and national office-bearers of the party including Union Ministers, MPs, Chief Ministers of states, Deputy Chief Ministers, MLAS would be covering 3,87,480 villages and cities by travelling 7,26,525 kms. This has been stated here today by BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh. The ‘Gandhi Sankalp Yatra’ launched by BJP national president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah would culminate on 30th of January, 2020 , the death anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi, Chugh said. However, these 3229 ‘Modi Ke Sipahi’ would be in field for 15 days making people aware about nationalistic values, Swadeshi, Khadi and Cleanliness, he said. “This is the biggest mass movement planned by any party in the country,” he said. The BJP leader claimed that the Union Government and the BJP ruled states have always based their governance on Gandhian principles replicating Mahatma’s ideals in their policies and programmes in order to ensure that benefits of all schemes were made available to the poorest of poor. Hailing the success of various Modi government’s landmark welfare schemes such as ‘Ujjawala’, ‘Awaas’, ‘Ayushman’ and ‘Make in India’, Chugh said all these were inspired by Mahatama Gandhi
