BJP enrols 9 lakh 34 thousand new members in Himachal: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Dharamshala, August 20, 2019: Shivraj Singh Chouhan, ex-CM of MP and national vice president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stated here on Tuesday that in Himachal BJP has registered 9 lakh 34 thousand new BJP members till date in Himachal under the ‘Sdasyata Abhiyan’ of the party.

Speaking to media persons, Chouhan said, “I am sure that the state will meet its target of enrolling 10 lakh new members in HP by this midnight, the end of the time limit. The party already has 13 lakh 78 thousand members in Himachal, before the start of fresh campaign of membership.”

He said that the state government in HP is working with full enthusiasm under the leadership of CM Jai ram Thakur. He said, “The Modi government in the centre has issued Rs.72,000 crore for the development projects in HP during 2014-19 period.” He said Himachal was number one by getting 69% of votes for BJP followed by Gujrat in Lok Sabha elections.

He inducted few ex-defence officers in party today at Dharamshala and said, “Himachal is a devbhumi and virbhumi, which has given thousands of defence persons for the country. The state` has honour of having first Param Vir Chakra for the country under the name of Major Som Nath and again got two of the four PVCs of Kargil war. BJP is the only party which finalised long awaited ‘One rank One Pension’ scheme.

Chouhan said that former Prime Minister Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru had committed hysterical blunders. He added terrorisms was spread in valley under the cover of 370 and 2-3 families of the area fill their homes.

He said, “Our PM Narendra Modi is not only a visionary leader but also a social reformer, who is creating New India.”

He said, “Right from the time of Jan Sangh to BJP, we raised the voice for the abolition of 370 and Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are bold enough who done this in just 48 hours.”
