He said the BJP government has pushed the state into the abyss of inflation, unemployment, drugs and crime. “Haryana, which was considered number 1 in development before 2014, has today derailed from the track of development,” he said.
Expressing his anger over the sanctioned projects of the area going out of the state or being stalled, he said if there was a Congress government in Haryana today, institutions like AIIMS-2 and National Cancer Institute, and the remaining 10 institutes of Badsa AIIMS would have been ready by now.
“I worked day and night to get these projects approved from the Central Government but the BJP government but undid all the progress made. Big approved projects like International Airport and Rail Coach Factory went from Haryana to other states due to the weak government in the state,” he added.
Deepender visited Silani Kesho, Silani Zalim, Silana, Sulodha, Gijadod, Raipur, Kirdod, Dadanpur, Chandpur, Machhrauli, Bhateda, Ghatoli, Kahdi, Dhani Saiyan, Khedi Sultan, Amadalpur, Khuddan, Asadpur, Kheda, Ahri, Koka, Kulana, Patoda, Kheda Patoda, Luhari. He appealed to the voters to vote for Congress in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
He said that during his tenure, bypasses were built in 17 cities including Badli, Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh, Meham, Kosli, Rohtak, Kalanaur, Sampla and bypasses of Chhuchhakwas, Matan, Subana and Beri were approved by the NCR Planning Board. “But in 10 years the BJP government could not build even the 4 approved bypasses. Not only this, we built metro till Bahadurgarh, which the BJP government could not bring forward even in 10 years,” he said and assured that during this term, he would take Metro from Bahadurgarh to Jhajjar and Rohtak.
Describing the justice guarantees of the Congress Party, Deepender said when the Congress government is formed at the Centre, every woman from every poor family will get ₹ 8500, or ₹ 1 lakh annually, in her account under the Mahalaxmi Yojana. “Youth will get permanent jobs in a time bound manner on 30 lakh vacant government posts in the Central Government,” he stated.
“The first job of every graduate and diploma holder will be guaranteed and they will be guaranteed apprenticeship with a stipend of Rs 1 lakh per year. By making a new law to stop paper leaks, the Congress will guarantee the conduct of examinations in a reliable manner,” he added.
He said Legislative Assembly elections will be held only after about 3 months of Lok Sabha elections and Congress government will be formed in the state. “After the formation of Congress government, pension of Rs 6000 per month will be given to the elderly, 300 units of free electricity to every family, gas cylinder for women at Rs 500, youth,” he promised.
Deepender added that the Congress would also ensure time bound and confirmed recruitment on 2 lakh vacant government posts, farmers' produce will be purchased at MSP. “By implementing a free plot scheme of 100 square yards for poor families, the government will provide a 2-room house at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh, and will get rid of the portals which trouble the public,” he stated.
“We will implement the old pension scheme for the employees, and will implement the policy of yellow card for poor families. The ‘Padak Lao, Pad Pao’ scheme would be brought back. We will increase the backward class creamy layer income limit from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh and just like we had eliminated crime and criminals from Haryana when the Congress government was formed in 2005, we will drive out all the goons and criminals away from Haryana and make Haryana crime free,” he added.
