BJP launches Mera Chandigarh Mera Suggestion campaign

Chandigarh, November 25, 2021: In order to ensure involvement of Chandigarh residents in making the city most loving place in India, the Bharatiya Janata Party today launched 'Mera Chandigarh Mera Suggestion'  campaign.

In an media interaction, at Chandigarh BJP State Office Kamalam, city Member Parliament Kirron Kher launched the campaign virtually. State BJP President Arun Sood interacted with the media.

Co-in-charge of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections, Member Parliament Indu Bala Goswami, along with Chandigarh Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma, former State President Sanjay Tandon, Former Member Parliament Satyapal Jain , Ramvir Bhatti and State Spokesperson Kailash Chand Jain were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sood said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has special feelings for Chandigarh. "BJP's central leadership, local BJP leadership, MPs, mayors and all councilors have worked hard to take Chandigarh forward on the path of development and good governance. This development journey has been possible only because of the continuous support of the people of Chandigarh. Chandigarh holds a special importance for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, " said Sood.

"In the last six years, BJP has taken many steps towards the development of Chandigarh. To continue this campaign of democracy and development, BJP wants to reach out to the people of the entire city to ensure their participation. Our vision is to make Chandigarh not only the number one city in the country but also a world class city in the next five years. To make a roadmap for this, the biggest public participation campaign of Chandigarh "Mera Chandigarh, Mera Suggestion" is being started by the state BJP, " added Sood.

“Mera Chandigarh, Mera Suggestion” is a one of its kind campaign which is being run by any political party for the first time here. "Through this programme, we will try to establish direct communication with the people of Chandigarh. Under this campaign, all the people of Chandigarh will be invited and encouraged to share their suggestions/aspirations with the BJP. On the basis of all these suggestions/aspirations BJP will prepare Vision Document (Sankalp Patra) for 2021 Municipal Corporation elections, " he further added.

The suggestions / aspirations will be collected through various means inculding, 'Suggestion Box' wherein a total of 200 boxes will be placed at different public places to get suggestions. 

'Missed Call Number' Public will be able to give their suggestions by giving a missed call on 8141 25 3535. After giving a missed call, one of our representative will call back a to take suggestions.
'Website' wherein people will also be able to register their suggestions by visiting the campaign website bjpforchandigarh.com.

On this occasion MP Kirron Kher said that she may not be able to attend Chandigarh personally due to her illness and as per doctors' advice, but she is virtually connected with every activity of Chandigarh. " I am very much connected to the city. I wish to make it world class and for this purpose participation of public is really important. So today, this campaign has been started. I request all the residents of Chandigarh to send us their suggestions for the development of the city, so that we can implement and ensure growth and development of the city" said Kirron.

Meanwhile, a three-member team has been formed to look after the 'Mera Chandigarh, Mera Suggestion' campaign. The team of Amit Rana , Arun deep and Pankaj  Sanduja  will look after program at state level and Mahendra Nirala , Rajesh Jaswal , Inderjit , Abhay jha , Vikram Sethi too were associated in developing the program.
