Bjp leader Kalia stresses on planting fruit trees

Jalandhar, August 11, 2019: Senior BJP leader and former Punjab minister Manoranjan Kalia today planted sapling of Mango in Company Bagh here.

Speaking on the occasion, Kalia said the month of sawan which is from 15th July to 15th August is the appropriate period for the plantation of saplings when the nature is full of greenery.

Kalia made an appeal to all to plant sapling of fruit tress instead of planting ornamental plants or trees. He added plantation of fruit trees are beneficial not only for human beings but also for birds and insects.

He opined that trees make our environment healthy. Trees also helps in maintaining the water table underneath and fertility of the earth, he said.
