BJP questions Kejirwal’s Rs 1000 promise to Gujarat women
The Bharatiya Janata Party today reminded Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal about his promise made to women in Punjab before elections that his government will give them a monthly stipend of Rs 1000 each.
Chandigarh, August 12, 2022: The Bharatiya Janata Party today reminded Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal about his promise made to women in Punjab before elections that his government will give them a monthly stipend of Rs 1000 each.
Reacting to Kejriwal’s similar announcement in Gujarat, the state BJP general secretary Dr Subhash Sharma said, political morality demands that he should have fulfilled this promise in Punjab where his party has already formed the government.
“But five months have already passed and the Aam Aadmi Party government has not fulfilled its promise”, he pointed out, while questioning the conscience of Kejriwal in making a similar promise in Gujarat.
The BJP leader disclosed that the state government was seeking Rs one lakh crore aid from the central government, while before the elections it had claimed that it knew how to create and generate resources.
He said, the AAP had completely been exposed about its fake and false promises, which it makes with clear intention of not fulfilling.
Dr Sharma announced that the party was chalking out a comprehensive programme under which Punjab leaders will visit Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat and expose the AAP lies there.
“If the AAP thinks that it will keep on lying and forgetting, it is badly mistaken”, he remarked, while adding, “public memory may be short, but it is not that short either and we will ensure that the AAP is reminded of its promises that it never fulfilled in Punjab”.
