BJP to constitute General Category Commission and General Category Welfare Board
If voted to power in Punjab during 2022 assembly elections: Vineet Joshi
Chandigarh, December 12, 2021: The people of general category in Punjab, who are protesting against the government to press their demands of—formation of General Category Commission and formation of general Category Welfare Board—are on hunger strike since November 26, at Shri Chamkaur Sahib.
While supporting the demands of the public, Senior Punjab BJP leader Vineet Joshi said that the two demands of the people of the general category are justified. “The formation of a commission and welfare board for the general class will not cause any harm to people of any other category, but will definitely help every person of the general class. Also, the commission and welfare board will listen to the demands and complaints of the general class students, employees, farmers, traders, shopkeepers and the vendors”, Vineet Joshi said.
“The ruling Congress government of Punjab is deliberately complicating the matter. The BJP governments had already formed such commissions in Gujarat in 2017, in Madhya Pradesh in September 2021, in Himachal two days ago and many other BJP-ruled states are also doing the same”, the BJP leader Vineet Joshi said, adding that if BJP will be voted to power in Punjab during the 2022 assembly elections, then the party will constitute General Category Commission and General Category Welfare Board, on the basis of priority.
