BJP will form next government in Punjab: Union Minister Shekhawat
Says BJP to content 117 seats in Punjab
Ludhiana, December 14, 2021: The BJP will form the next government in the state and give Punjab an opportunity to reach its previous glory of being a pioneer state in the country. Punjabi’s are never going to forgive the previous governments for ruining the economy. Said Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Union Minister and election incharge of BJP for Punjab.
He was addressing a state-level meeting of the party here today.
Accusing the opposition for rampant corruption and mafia rule Shekhwat said, “Punjab which was no 4 till recent is now at 16 in GDP and has a debt of over 4 lakh crores. Reeling under this colossal debt the successive governments in past have never bothered to create a roadmap of recovery.”
Declaring that BJP will contest on 117 seats and confident that BJP’s workers were ready to create history by forming the next government Shekhawat said, “The enthusiasm in the BJP is because of ground reality. The voters want a change. A change which only BJP can give. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special bond with Punjab. The contribution and sacrifices by the people of this glorious state in Independence movement, guarding our borders with hostile nations and the green revolution which made our country food sufficient are significant achievements towards the nation.
He said that BJP was ruling in 16 states in the country. The BJP is the largest political party in the world. The policies and commitment to reach out with equal opportunity to each and every citizen is its strength.
