'Blaze to Chase-2024’ held at Paragon Senior Secondary School
Paragon Senior Secondary School, Sector 71, Mohali, organized ‘Blaze To Chase -2024’ to provide a platform to tricity's school students to showcase their entrepreneurial prowess.

Mohali, August 25, 2024: In a path-breaking initiative encompassing the mandate of the new National Education Policy-2020, Paragon Senior Secondary School, Sector 71, Mohali, organized ‘Blaze To Chase -2024’ an event aimed at igniting the future of entrepreneurship in which students of Class VI to XII from over 15 schools in tricity participated.

Iqbal Singh Shergill, Director, Paragon Senior Secondary School, said: “Our inter-school young entrepreneur competition - 'Blaze To Chase: Igniting the Future of Entrepreneurship' - embodied our school’s commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and leadership in students.”

Kulwant Kaur Shergill, President, Paragon School said, “Students shared their amazing ideas, which further reaffirmed our belief that every student has the potential to become a change-maker and a successful entrepreneur. The competition provided a platform for them to showcase their ideas, learn from industry experts, and develop valuable skills.”
 
Principal Jasmeet Kaur revealed that teams from more than 15 schools from Chandigarh and Mohali  took part in the event. She said, “The evaluation was done on the basis of innovation and creativity, presentation skills, market research, overall impact, target market understanding, and responsiveness to questions. Each team was given 15 minutes to present its idea and explain its product concept comprehensively.”
The awards were given in the categories of Strategic Visionaries, Market Mavens, Outstanding Team, Stellar Presenters, Rising Entrepreneurs and Future Moguls. The judges of the event included Siddhant Jain, Director at Fashioners, Amol Bhardwaj, Co-founder and CTO at Walnut Medical Private Limited.
 
The winners of ‘Blaze to Chase’ were Infant Jesus Convent School’s team ‘Visionary Ventures’; the 1st runners-up were the team ‘Eco-Wash’ from Learning Paths School, Mohali and 2nd runners-up were team ‘Incredibles’ from Mata Sahib Kaur Public School .
 
Following were category winners: AKSIPS Chandigarh were adjudged as ‘Strategic Visionaries’; St. Soldiers International Convent School, Ph. 7, Mohali earned the title of ‘Market Mavens’; DPS Chandigarh were declared as ‘Outstanding team’; Shemrock School, Mohali were ‘Stellar Presenters’; The Millennium School, Mohali bagged the ‘Rising Entrepreneurs’ honour and ‘Future Moguls’ title went to Jatinderveer Sarvhitkari Sr. Sec School, Sec 71, Mohali.

Cash prizes (1st - Rs 3100, 2nd – Rs 2100 and 3rd – Rs 1100) along with medals, trophies and merit certificates were awarded to the top three winning teams, recognizing their outstanding entrepreneurial ideas. A certificate of participation was given to all the participants.
