Blood Donation Camp organised at HMV

Jalandhar, November 14, 2014: The Red Cross Society, NSS and Red Ribbon Club of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised a Blood Donation Camp in a joint venture with HDFC Bank, Kapurthala to mark Mahatma Hans Raj Blood Donation Week on 14th Nov., 2014. 

Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj inaugurated the camp.  On this occasion, Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj was honoured with a souvenir and a letter of appreciation by HDFC Bank.  

Dr. Mahima Khosla, Incharge NSS and Red Ribbon Club, Deepshikha, Incharge Red Cross Society and Dr. Santosh Khanna motivated the students for donating blood.  During the camp, HMV students flocked to donate their blood with great enthusiasm.  As many as 100 students were registered for blood donation and 56 units of blood were donated by the students. 

Dr. Meenu Tandon and the medical staff from Civil Hospital Phagwara alongwith Vipul Kashyap of HDFC Bank conducted the entire camp efficiently.  Later, the donors were given certificates by Civil Hospital and the college.  In the end, the organisers thanked the blood donors as well as the team from Civil Hospital. 

Gagandeep, Pawan Kumari, Sheetal were also present on this occasion.
