Blood Group Checking Camp held at Doaba College
Department of Zoology and NSS Unit of Doaba College organized DBT sponsored “Blood Group Screening Camp” to celebrate World Health Day.
Jalandhar, April 22, 2022: Department of Zoology and NSS Unit of Doaba College organized DBT sponsored “Blood Group Screening Camp” to celebrate World Health Day. The World Health Day is celebrated as an international health awareness day and is listed among the eleven global health campaigns marked by World Health Organization (WHO). The camp was organized to encourage students for blood donation in the forthcoming camps.
Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari addressed the students about World Health’s Day and also appreciated the students and the staff who participated in this camp. NSS Coordinator, Dr. Arshdeep Singh also motivated the students to participate in this camp. The camp was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ashwani, Head Department of Zoology and Dr. Shivika Datta, Assistant Professor Department of Zoology.
The teams comprising of students of B.Sc. Medical and B.Sc. B.Ed. Medical tested the blood group of participants under the supervision of Dr. Shivika Datta. More than 200 students from different departments participated in the camp, out of which 80 students showed interest to donate the blood.
