BOI supporting farmers with finance schemes at Agri Expo
Bank of India, one of the major Nationalised bank's Initiative is helping farmers by supporting them through financing schemes at three-day Agri Expo in Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, January 20, 2024: Bank of India, one of the major Nationalised bank's Initiative is helping farmers by supporting them through financing schemes at three-day Agri Expo in Ludhiana.
It is one of the sponsors of Mega International conference and exhibition for Farmers welfare involving at least 25000 farmers and 3000 traditional and advanced farming products. It was inaugurated by Punjab Agriculture minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian at Ludhiana.
Anil Verma General Manager, National Banking Group, Chandigarh along with Zonal Manager B.K Singh and Zonal Manager Navaneetha Krishnan, highlighted Bank's role in helping Farmers by financing through various schemes for High Tech Machinery combines, harvesters, cold storage, warehouses, food and agro processing.
Verma also highlighted the bank's contribution from basic kisan credit card financing to advanced food and agro processing units along with various dairy and animal husbandry financing.
BOI Ludhiana zone has already financed 1000 farmers for around Rs.150 crore under Agriculture infrastructure financing.
