Book entitled “Myxomycetes of North East India and The Royal Kingdom of Bhutan” released
A book entitled “Myxomycetes of North East India and The Royal Kingdom of Bhutan” authored by Dr. Rajesh Sharma and Prof. T.N. Lakhanpal has been released today in the Botany Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Prof. Harsh Nayyar, Director Research, Panjab University, Chandigarh released the book. Faculty members alongwith research scholars of the Department were present during the occasion.
Chandigarh, February 20, 2024: A book entitled “Myxomycetes of North East India and The Royal Kingdom of Bhutan” authored by Dr. Rajesh Sharma and Prof. T.N. Lakhanpal has been released today in the Botany Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Prof. Harsh Nayyar, Director Research, Panjab University, Chandigarh released the book. Faculty members alongwith research scholars of the Department were present during the occasion.
The event started by the welcome address delivered by Prof. Kamal Jit Singh, Chairperson, Department of Botany. He introduced the authors and the book to the audience.
Prof. Nayyar congratulated the authors on their book and said that it was a well written, lucid and balanced study of Myxomycetes of North East India and the Royal kingdom of Bhutan. It was, according to the Director Research, a valuable addition to the study of myxomycetes. He also shared that this book has been dedicated to Prof. K.S. Thind who was a pioneer in this field of research in India. Both the authors are his students.
