Book Fest at KMV

Jalandhar, November 13, 2014: A 3-day Book-Fest has been organized at KMV beginning from 13-11-14 to 15-11-14.  Books displayed in large numbers filled one of the largest halls in the college.  The books displayed section wise were on a large variety of subjects like in sciences on Physics, Chemistry and Life-Sciences.  In the field of Commerce and also mathematics and economics.   On literature, Psychology, Religion, Sanskrit and other variety of subjects.  

Principal Prof. Atima Sharma inaugurated the Book-Fest and was delighted to see an eager gathering waiting for the fest to begin and feast their eyes on the colourful, inviting display.  After the inauguration she invited the gathering of students and faculty members to buy any book they found useful and also recommend books for the college library freely.  She stressed that though modern means of mass communication like the electronic media stole upon the time earlier spent on book reading by all, but still nothing could replace the importance of books in the process of teaching and learning and that the pleasures of reading were manifold.
