Kangra district is the worst hit district of the second wave of Corona in Himachal
Dharamshala: Deputy Commissioner of Kangra, Rakesh Prajapati said that all the books and stationery shops in district Kangra are now allowed to be opened on every Monday and Friday from 8 am to 11 am from May 28, though they will have to strictly adhere to the Covid safety protocol and guidelines.
In the ongoing curfew in the district only shops of chemists, vegetable and daily food supply are allowed to open daily from 8 am to 11 am in the district, and the complete lock down is being observed on each Saturday and Sunday in the district. These arrangements for the time being are ordered till 6 am on May 31, 2021 as per the instructions of the state government.
Prajapati informed that in view of employment of migrant and local labourers in the district, hardware shops have already been allowed to open on Tuesday and Friday from 8 am to 11 am. So that people can get their construction work done smoothly.
Kangra district is the worst hit district of the second wave of Corona in Himachal. This largest populated district of the state, has so far 41953 confirmed cases out of which 6676 are still active, the district has also registered 848 Covid deaths till date.
