Hyderabad, November 2, 2019: A Boot Camp held for Data Science and BlockChain enthusiasts at We Hub here in the city today.

It was organized by Indo-Nordic Innovation Acceleration Cluster and DAV Data Solutions, India.

Dr Lerwen LIU, Senior Advisor, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand was the chief guest and inaugurated the same. Ms Anjali Viramani Paul, INIAC Advisor, Sweden; Ms Parvaty Krishnan, DAV Director, India; Mr. Joy Mustafi (among top 10 data scientists in India – Analytics India); Pritesh Prabhat, Director- KL University also graced the inaugural function.

Speaking to the media, Ms Anjali said Clean Air, Water, Good Infrastructure is our birth right. Lot of natural resources are wasted. India has the least water per person. If you think it is your right on your natural resources, then think of doing something. The objective of the BootCamp is to give technology tools to build solutions for UN’s sustainability development goals, Anjali added. The 7 Day Indo Data Week is planned to expose India’s Technology competence and see how we can make a difference in the area of 17 sustainability development goals for a sustainable future.

Joy Mustafi, Founder and President, MUST Research Club, a not for profit body of 500 Data Scientists across India said

MUST Research is dedicated to promote excellence and competence in the field of data science, cognitive computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, advanced analytics for the benefit of the society.

The one day hands-on session was conducted by Dr. Saptarsi Goswami and Mr. Aditya Bhattacharya. They shared with their participants on using Deep Learning for Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing Applications.

It was organized for about 40 Data Science and Blockchain enthusiasts. It was organized as part of the 7day technology event, “Indo Data Week 2019” India’s first-ever International Data Science Technology Conference for SDGs to bring together Data Science and Sustainability experts in India and abroad to facilitate public-private-partnerships to help accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 2030. With this BootCamp, the sA seven-day technology event, Indo Data Week 2019 formally kicked off.
