Bosch Power Tools Celebrates 25 glorious years in India

Hyderabad: Bosch Power Tools India, leading manufacturer and marketer of power tools for construction, woodworking and metalworking industry, completed 25 successful years in India today. Bosch Power Tools began its India operations 25 years ago in 1993 and was founded on the principle of “Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering” and providing users with affordable solutions for a better life. In short, Bosch created technology that is “Invented for life.” Over the years, the idea of excellence and core success factors came to include employee development and growth, technical skills and innovative solutions. Commenting on the occasion, Panish PK, Regional Business Director - India and SAARC – Bosch Power Tools said, “For over a quarter-century, Bosch Power Tools in India has been a steadfast business partner to several organisations and continues to actively support the cause of nation-building. In line with Bosch‘s local-for-local strategy, the 15th manufacturing facilityis located in Oragadam, Chennai. The new local manufacturing facility enables production of advanced Power Tools that are innovative and high quality products at competitive cost to meet the region-specific demands of the customers in India. The location also provides further options to ramp up capacity in the medium-term based on the needs of the Power Tools business. All the shop floor associates at the Chennai manufacturing plant are women, working across 3 shifts. The company has grown its revenue base exponentially over the years.The past decade in itself has made the journey more interesting. The company‘s initial leaders have since been followed by a succession of young and bright frontrunners who went on to create new avenues of growth and demonstrated the company’s strength through excellent teamwork, Thus, from a few handful associates 25 years ago, Bosch Power Tools is now a proud family of thousands of professionals, spread across the length and breadth of the country.
