Bowry Memorial Trust enlightened students of Innocent Hearts Group on World Sight Day
Jalandhar, October 14, 2021: Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust under DISHA – a campaign, enlightened the students of Innocent Hearts Group about visual impairment and blindness, on World Sight Day.
On this global awareness day, Dr Rohan Bowry (M.B.B.S., M.S - Ophthalmology), F.R.R.S. Fellow in Phaco-Refractive, acquainted the students with common eye problems like Refractive errors, Cataract, Diabetic retinopathy and age–related macular degeneration. He stated that people suffering from diabetes and hypertension must get their eyes checked after every 6 months to protect them from visual impairment.
Dr. Rohan also emphasized on the problem of Dry Eyes which is very common in every age group due to Digitization. He recommended everyone to, follow the formula of twenty and blink eyes 20 times after every 20 minutes to keep them healthy.
