The event, attended by dignitaries from government, business, and sports, celebrated the strong cultural and sporting ties between the UK and Himachal Pradesh.
Notable attendees included British High Commissioner Alex Ellis, BCCI President Roger Binny, and IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal.
The reception highlighted the potential for increased trade, investment, education, and tourism between the two regions, with speeches acknowledging the shared love of cricket as a unifying force.
Additionally, to commemorate International Women's Day, Alex Ellis and Caroline Rowett participated in a friendly cricket match with local women cricketers, emphasizing the importance of women in sports and encouraging participation through initiatives like the UK's "This Girl Can" campaign.
