Brooke India (BI) signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA)
Both BI and IRMA have many common goals
Ghaziabad: BI & IRMA signed an MoU for knowledge partnership to assist the underprivileged section of our society which own equine (horses, mules and donkeys). The MoU was signed by Prof Hitesh V Bhatt, Director IRMA and Brig JS Dharamadheeran (Retd) Chief Executive Officer & Country Director BI, on 26th August 2020.
Both BI and IRMA have many common goals and this collaboration will provide an excellent opportunity for both the organisations to leverage their inherent strengths and work together to achieve a better outcome, which will foster rural development, community empowerment, and livelihood enhancement of some of the neediest marginalised equine owning communities in the country. Further, both partners will also identify areas of common interest and undertake mutually beneficial research projects and internship programmes in BI operational areas.
Mr Ratnesh Rao, Head of Programme, Brooke India said “BI is always keen to forge a valuable partnership with like-minded organisations, as they bring in a lot of value addition with their unique attributes, experience, and expertise which mutually beneficial to our common goals. I am sure this partnership with IRMA will grow in the coming days and benefit the underprivileged in the country.”
Since its inception in 2001, BI has been focussing on the upliftment of marginalised equine owning communities in 11 States and Union Territories in India which include Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
