Ferozepur, April 16, 2023: As a goodwill gesture, the BSF authorities handed over the Pakistani national who had inadvertently crossed over into Indian territory to Pak Rangers.
As per information, on Saturday afternoon, BSF troops belonging to 182 battalion deputed at Border Out Post (BOP) Raja Mohtaam along the Indo-Pakistan border in this sector, had apprehended one Pakistani national identified as Rehmat Ali (72 years), resident of Village Tati Usman in Kasur district of Pakistan.
The BSF officials said that during the questioning, it came to fore that Rehmat Ali had crossed over to Indian territory inadvertently. Besides, nothing objectionable except personal belongings were found with the individual. Later the BSF troops approached Pakistan Rangers and the apprehended Pakistani national was handed over to them today on humanitarian grounds.
