But fate ordains that dearest friends must part

Ludhiana: Though there was an aura of euphoria and exhilaration, ìt was tinged with an air of sadness and despair when an emotional farewell was organized on behalf of the Management Committee of Ramgarhia Educational Council to honour Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Vice Principal Dr. Ripandeep Kaur and S. Tarlochan Singh from the service staff for their memorable journey at Ramgarhia Girls College. College Committee, old teachers, faculty and the student performers accorded a warm welcome to the principal and her family.  

On this occasion Dr. Surjit, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Nirmal Jaura, Prof. Gurbhajan Gill and principals of various colleges of Ludhiana were also present to grace the occasion. Prof. Jaspaul Kaur conducted the stage. The students of  music department created a perfect ambiance with a befitting musical tribute to the  revered personalities. A presentation prepared by Department of English and Department of Computer Science and Applications was shown, that comprised the memorable moments of the esteemed personage during their tenure. 

S. Ranjodh Singh President Ramgarhia Educational Council and S. Gurcharan Singh Lotey, General Secretary Ramgarhia Educational Council aptly summed up the achievements of the outgoing Principal as a  dedicated, supportive,   sincere teacher, an able administrator and a conscious and  conscientious human being. They said that the services that Dr. Inderjit Kaur rendered to this institution were of immense value. They further averred that Dr. Ripandeep Kaur made worthy contributions in shaping the young minds that entered the portals of this institution and S. Tarlochan Singh has served this institution since 1984 and has always been a loyal member of the institution. 

Prof. Gurbhajan Gill, Former Principal Dr. Narinder Sandhu also congratulated them on the completion of their wonderful journey. The address of the principal saw her going through a flurry of overpowering emotions as she reminisced  the time she joined this college as a student and later rejoined as a professor of Punjabi and reached up to this level. She thanked the faculty and her family to stay with her through thick and thin of life as her support and strength. 

Dr. Ripandeep asserted that her  journey at the college has been so memorable that she has cherished each of the day spent here and she would always be indebted to the institution for providing her with an opportunity to work for the noble cause of education. S.  Tarlochan Singh thanked the almighty for making him a member of this prestigious institution and he said that this college has become a part of his identity.  On the behalf of all the  Management Committee and the staff members Prof. Tajinder Kaur, HOD, Department of English read out the citation for Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur . She also gave them her best wishes for the next phase of their life. She said that staff took pride in having worked under the stewardship of an able administrator like Dr. Inderjit Kaur and the strong bond that they have established would always remain intact. She said that an intellectual and down to earth person like Dr. Ripandeep Kaur would be missed dearly and S. Tarlochan Singh would always be missed fondly by all the employs and staff members.
