Ludhiana, October 30, 2014: `Bharat Ko Jano’ Competition is organised every year with a view to impart knowledge about India among the youth in particular and the public in general. In this regard, written test of  BVP Bharat  Ko  Jaano-2014 was conducted by Bharat Vikas Parishad Dr. Kitchlu Branch Ludhiana in seven schools for Junior category and in five schools for Senior category. In Junior category, 715 students participated in the test while in Senior category, the number of participants was 480 students. 

The Inter-School  Quiz Contest of  BKJ-2014 was organised on Thursday, in the premises of BVP Viklang Sahayata Kender, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana. Six teams in Junior  and  four teams in Senior  category from different  schools participated in this contest. The first prize was won by Himanshu/Dinesh of GRD Academy, Hambran Road, Ludhiana in Junior category and  by Akshay/Shiv  Charan  of  Model  Sr. Sec. School, PAU Campus, Ludhiana in Senior category.

Ravinder Mittal, Project Director deliberated in detail about the significance, rules and guidelines for the BVP BKJ Quiz Contest. Mohit Khanna was the Quiz Master and conducted the contest quite efficiently.

Balkar  Singh, Councillor, LMC  was the Chief Guest  of the function. He was highly impressed with the BKJ project as it relates to the personality development of the youth. He further lauded the excellent services being rendered by BVP to the society in the fields of Sanskar and Sewa. The function was presided over by Kamala Jain, Prantiya Convener, BVP Punjab North. The audience comprised about  100 persons (20 students, 10 teachers, 30 BVP Members and 40 guests.

RP Gupta discussed about the Swacchh Bharat Abhiyan and Dr. DRC Bakhetia spoke on Save Water for Posterity.
