Cabinet Minister Gurkirat Singh initiates development projects in his constituency
Khanna (Ludhiana), November 21, 2021: Keeping up his promise for changing the face of Khanna constituency, the Punjab Cabinet Minister and MLA Khanna Gurkirat Singh took a step further to complete all the pending projects. He inaugurated multiple road projects in last 48 hours. These projects are aimed at providing better connectivity to the people living in villages around Khanna. Living upto his promise to the residents of Ishanpur and Ronu Khurd village, Gurkirat Singh inaugurated the project of constructing a concrete road. In addition to the road project in Ishanpur, the minister also looked into the ongoing project of a sports stadium. He stated that sports bring discipline and ensure physical and mental well being of the youth which is why a stadium is a must. "I appreciate the efforts that are being made by the Sarpanch Indubala for the progress of Ishanpur village and I promise to extend every possible support for such projects," added Gurkirat Singh. Another road that was inaugurated by the cabinet minister is from Roh village to Dera Baba Maigan Das Ji. An estimated amount of Rs 26 lac would be spent to build this one kilometer road.
Other long pending projects which were initiated today by the Cabinet Minister include street number 3A in Green Estate of ward number 24, installation of interlocking tiles under the Lalheri bridge with an estimated cost of Rs 21 lac followed by a sewerage and water supply project in ward number 14, 15 worth RS 6.50 crore.
In addition, he inaugurated sewerage and water supply project in ward number 13 and 14 today.
Village Ismailpur and Bhadla did not have a concrete road and Gurkirat Singh inaugurated this project, promising the residents of both the villages for an early completion of the same.
Meanwhile, projects of a park, completion of a street roads in
Kartar Nagar falling under ward number 18 which are worth Rs 46 lac, a road in Mundiala Kalan and Dehru were some projects initiated under the guidance of the cabinet Minister Gurkirat Singh.
