Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO along with 4 MLAs visited areas affected by flood in river Sutlej
Says, the flood affected people will not be allowed to face any kind of problem

Ferozepur, July 13, 2023: Punjab Power and Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Thursday visited the villages affected by the flood in river Sutlej along with the MLAs of Ferozepur district Ranbir Singh Bhullar, Rajnish Dahiya, Naresh Kataria and Fauja Singh Sarari to review the ongoing relief and rescue works.
On this occasion, the minister appreciated the relief operations being performed by the officers and employees of the district administration, Indian Army and BSF. He also distributed fruits to the rescue teams and flood affected people. He said that the teams engaged in relief operations are saving precious lives by taking them to the relief camps.
Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh said that Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan is with the people of the state in this difficult time and would not be allow them to face any problem. He said that the water level in the river Sutlej at Harike has been decreased that lead to boost in relief operations. He said that the district administration has set up relief camps on a large scale for the victims, in which all kinds of facilities including food, medicines, fodder for animals, tarpaulins are being provided.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh strongly criticized the leaders of various political parties including Akali leader Sukhbir Singh Badal for trying to take political advantage instead of helping the suffering people. He said that the people of the state are well aware of the character of such dramatic leaders.
On this occasion, MLA oFerozepur Urban Ranbir Singh Bhullar and Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman apprised the minister in detail about the relief works being carried on. Rajnish Dahiya, Fauja Singh Sarari and Naresh Kataria, all MLAs also apprised the minister about the areas affected by the river Sutlej in their respective constituencies.
