Chandigarh, January 27, 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab senior leader and Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO has strongly condemned the incident of vandalism of the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, in Amritsar.
ETO said that the incident is extremely concerning and unfortunate. The aim of such incidents is to create tension in society and promote discord, which is unacceptable. He stated that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar worked hard, drafted the Indian Constitution and ensured the rights of equality and freedom for common people. Such an incident involving his statue is highly condemnable.
The AAP leader appealed to the public to maintain peace and said that Punjab Police is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. The guilty person has been arrested, and an FIR has been registered. During the investigation, any individual found involved in the incident or conspiring in it will not be spared. Strict action will be taken against all.
