CAIT Punjab leaders Harkesh Mittal and  RS Tarzan address media; Take up traders’ issues
Ludhiana, February 5, 2019: On the opening of Punjab Office of Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) the state president Harkesh Mittal and the state secretary RS Tarzan addressed the media persons here. They said that CAIT is working for protection of the rights of small and big traders across the country. They added that there were around 7 crores traders in the country. They pointed out that traders used to pay taxed to the government, therefore, the government should introduce accidental insurance, mediclaim etc for them. They also sought bank loans without guarantee on lesser rate of interest to traders. Besides, they also demanded all medical facilities to traders after they cross age of sixty years. The CAIT's Punjab leaders asked traders not to do online trading. They expressed their sentiments against FDI in retail sector and feared that the government policies would ruin retail business in the country. They said the problems of traders would be solved under the leadership of CAIT national president B.C.Bhartia and general secretary Praveen Khandelwal. Ramesh Chawla, Nitin Sharma, Navin Anand, Karan Kanaujia, Gaurav Kumar and others were present.
