Cake Mixing Ceremony at Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana


Ludhiana, November 13, 2017: It is a rare chance when people get to mix their own cake at a ceremony at their favourite bakery. With Christmas having started and it being time for fruit to be soaked in rum so that at around Christmas those lovely plum cakes that are characteristic of Christmas are ready to be sold.

As the temperatures drop the feeling of the festive season is in the air. "The month of November heralds cake mixing for the delectable Christmas cakes that are to be baked in the Christmas month," On Monday the staff of Hotel Radisson Blu MBD Ludhiana took part in the mixing on the hotel premises.

Executive Chef Amit Thapliyal and Pastry Chef, Amit Porwal said, “The cake mixing ceremony began by mixing an abundant amount of colorful cherries, dates, plums, assorted dry fruits, currants, sultanas, dried figs, glacé cherries, brown sugar, mixed spices, almonds flakes and many more ingredients to incorporate together in the cake mix. Everyone present sported an apron and a Chef's cap for the ceremony. The evening was soaked in happiness as the crowd joked and mixed the ingredients in merriment.

Food and Beverage Manager Amit Sharma said, “The chefs and managers got together and mixed the various nuts and dry fruit with different spirits in preparation of Christmas. Executive Chef Amit Thapliyal said, "This is a great way to get the work of soaking the fruit for the cakes." he further added.
